Sampling, definitions & coverage We paginate the provider’s follower-ID list until it reports completion, deduplicate it, then take a seeded random sample without replacement. Random selection is within that returned list; X and provider coverage may omit followers. Collection is not an atomic snapshot of all followers. All 200 selected IDs remain in the denominator. 189 public profiles were available, 11 were unavailable or protected, and 42 available profiles had empty bios. Unknown information is not a negative-fit label. Classification uses conservative public-bio text rules, followed by an AI-assisted profile-by-profile review. Roles are self-described and can be incomplete or outdated. We do not infer roles from a name, account popularity or a company affiliation alone.
