# Lemlist vs HeyReach

Lemlist vs HeyReach for a founder picking one: per user plus credits vs per sender pricing, email plus LinkedIn vs LinkedIn only, inbox, safety, MCP, export.

You have a Sales Navigator list of 400 people, one LinkedIn account, a Gmail, and two pricing tabs open. One says $69 a month with unlimited users. The other says $79 per sender. Neither tab tells you which one you will still be paying for in March.

This is a Lemlist vs HeyReach comparison for a founder or a two-person sales team, not for an agency with 40 client accounts. I run PumpGTM, so I have a stake here. The competitor facts below come from each vendor's own pricing and help pages, plus public reviews, and I have kept the meaning of each one intact. Where one of them is the better pick, I say so.

## What each tool is

Lemlist is a cold outreach tool that sends email, LinkedIn, SMS, WhatsApp and call sequences, bundled with a 650M+ contact database and email warm-up. It sells mainly to SDRs, founders and agencies.

HeyReach is cloud LinkedIn automation built to run many LinkedIn accounts (it calls them senders) from one workspace. It sells mainly to lead-gen agencies and outbound teams.

That one-line difference explains most of what follows. Lemlist is a multichannel sequencer with a database attached. HeyReach is a LinkedIn sending engine with a shared inbox.

## Pricing: per user plus credits vs per sender

Lemlist's Email plan is $69 a month billed monthly ($55 annual) as of September 2026. The card reads unlimited users, 50,000 emails a month, database access, warm-up, unified inbox and the MCP. LinkedIn steps are not on that plan. For LinkedIn you need Multichannel at $109 a month billed monthly ($87 annual), which gives 5 senders per user. The "/User" wording means per-seat billing. On top of the plan, data is metered in credits: 1,000 credits cost $10, email verification is 5 credits, a phone number is 20 credits. Included monthly credits are not published on the pricing page. Full details at [https://www.lemlist.com/pricing](https://www.lemlist.com/pricing).

HeyReach's Growth plan is $79 per sender per month billed monthly ($63 annual) as of September 2026, with 100 enrichment credits per sender. Agency is $999 a month for 25 senders scaling to 50. Unlimited is $2,999 a month, capped at 300 senders under fair use. There is an Early Stage Program for companies under $250,000 ARR and fewer than 5 people, but the discount amount is not published. Details at [https://www.heyreach.io/pricing](https://www.heyreach.io/pricing).

For a founder with one LinkedIn account, HeyReach at $79 is cheaper than Lemlist Multichannel at $109. A Reddit user quoted in a third-party review put it plainly: "can't justify $79/month when I only use 3 LinkedIn accounts. It's built for agencies." That cuts both ways. The per-sender model is fair when you have one account, and it gets expensive fast if you add more.

Lemlist's recurring complaint is the meter. A G2 reviewer wrote that "once you start using the platform to any significant degree, the costs mount up quickly," and another noted credits get charged "even when the system cannot actually find the email address." Capterra reviewers flag no volume discount until 20+ seats.

## Channels

Lemlist covers email, LinkedIn (profile visit, invite, message, voice message), SMS, a WhatsApp add-on and a built-in dialer. InMail is not supported. HeyReach covers LinkedIn only: connection requests, messages, voice notes, profile views, InMail and follows. Email goes through a native integration with Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison, so you pay for and manage a second tool.

If your buyers answer email, Lemlist is the only one of the two that sends it. If your buyers live on LinkedIn and you already have an email tool, HeyReach's narrower scope is not a problem.

## Inbox

Both have a unified inbox. HeyReach's is the reason agencies buy it. A Capterra reviewer called it "a lifesaver" and a Reddit user described "logging into 12 different LinkedIn accounts every morning. Now I just open one tab." You can reply on behalf of colleagues and rotate senders.

Lemlist's unified inbox pulls email and LinkedIn replies into one view, which matters if you run both channels. For a single founder the inbox question mostly comes down to whether you need email in it.

## Safety and account risk

HeyReach gives each LinkedIn account "a dedicated static residential proxy (i.e. real IP address that never changes)" and auto-freezes accounts near around 100 connection requests a week and 200 actions a day. Even so, Reddit users cited in third-party reviews report account restrictions despite the safety features, and LinkedIn removed HeyReach's own company page and restricted its executives' profiles on March 25, 2026.

Lemlist documents LinkedIn limits of up to 20 invites a day, 30 messages a day, 30 visits a day, and a weekly invite cap of about 100. A third-party review notes the founder's own account was banned for automation. Whether Lemlist's LinkedIn actions run in the cloud or the extension is not published in the pages I could fetch.

Neither vendor can make automation safe in LinkedIn's eyes. Both publish limits and both have users who got restricted anyway. Our take on pacing is in the [multi-touch LinkedIn outreach review](/blog/multi-touch-linkedin-outreach-review).

## Support reputation

This is where the two diverge most. Lemlist's Trustpilot score is 4.7 from 228 reviews (81% five-star) and reviewers call support "responsive and helpful," replying in under one business day, though some third-party reviews report 10+ hour waits. HeyReach's Trustpilot is 4.0 from 51 reviews with 22% one-star. Quotes include "Their support is virtually nonexistent... wait 3 business days" and "always switch off due to a bug." There are also no-refund complaints. On G2 both sit at 4.6, but Lemlist's sample is 1,424 reviews to HeyReach's 71.

Lemlist's own weak spot is reporting. One Capterra reviewer wrote "the reporting is literally unusable," with false opens, clicks and lead scores. Setup has "a steep learning curve" per Trustpilot, with 98 G2 mentions of difficult setup.

## MCP servers

Both have official MCP servers, which matters if you want Claude or Cursor to drive outreach. Lemlist's endpoint is app.lemlist.com/mcp, with OAuth 2.1 or an API key and 40+ actions covering lead search, enrichment, sequences and analytics. HeyReach exposes a per-workspace MCP URL and key under Integrations, connected via mcp-remote, at no extra cost. If MCP is central to how you work, our [LinkedIn outreach tools with an MCP server](/best/linkedin-outreach-tools-with-mcp-server) list covers the wider field.

## Getting your data out

Lemlist exports leads per campaign as CSV with name, email, company, LinkedIn URL, phone and custom variables. Campaign results export per step. Multi-campaign export "is no longer available." HeyReach exports lead lists as CSV, but the help center states the export "only provides HeyReach's default columns, not custom variables." Dashboard results export as CSV, PNG or SVG. Conversations come out via API or MCP only. Neither publishes plan restrictions on export. The step-by-step is in our [Lemlist alternatives](/alternatives/lemlist) and [HeyReach alternatives](/alternatives/heyreach) pages.

## Verdict by situation

Pick Lemlist if email is at least half your outreach, you want a database and warm-up in the same seat, or you need SMS or a dialer. The 50,000 emails a month on the $69 plan is real volume. Budget for credits.

Pick HeyReach if you run three or more LinkedIn accounts, already have an email tool, and the unified inbox will save you a morning ritual. It is built for that job and priced for it.

Pick neither if you have one LinkedIn account and the problem is not sending volume but knowing who to send to. Both tools start after you have a list. Our deeper reviews are at [Lemlist review](/reviews/lemlist) and [HeyReach review](/reviews/heyreach).

## Where PumpGTM fits

PumpGTM is an AI go-to-market engine for founders and small B2B teams. It does the step both tools skip: it finds buyers showing intent right now (hiring on Greenhouse, Lever or LinkedIn Jobs, a funding round, a tooling change, engagement on a relevant LinkedIn post) and scores every lead before anything is sent. Under 60 out of 100 gets no message.

The sequence runs from your own LinkedIn account at a human pace: day 0 profile view, day 1 like a relevant post, day 2 a personalized connection request, then a contextual follow-up. Optional email steps go out from your own Gmail, Microsoft 365 or IMAP mailbox. Replies are sorted and qualified buyers are handed to you. It also runs as an MCP server for Claude, Cursor and Codex.

Pricing is $75 a month (list $99) for up to 3,000 leads a month as of September 2026, with a 7 day trial. It is a young product, launched September 2026, with no phone channel and no warm-up farm. Last week one SF team sent 546 invites, got 356 accepted (68%), 98 qualified replies and 38 enterprise demo meetings. ## Questions people ask

Is HeyReach cheaper than Lemlist for one person? For LinkedIn only, yes. HeyReach Growth is $79 per sender and Lemlist Multichannel is $109 per user as of September 2026. If you only need email, Lemlist's $69 Email plan is the cheaper of the two, and HeyReach does not send email natively.

Does HeyReach send email? Not natively. Email runs through integrations with Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison, so you need and pay for one of those tools separately.

Does Lemlist include LinkedIn automation on the $69 plan? No. LinkedIn steps require the Multichannel plan at $109 a month or Enterprise.

Which one has the better support reputation? Lemlist, based on public reviews. Its Trustpilot is 4.7 from 228 reviews. HeyReach is 4.0 from 51 reviews with 22% one-star, and several reviewers cite three-day waits.

Do both have an MCP server? Yes. Lemlist's is at app.lemlist.com/mcp with 40+ actions. HeyReach's is a per-workspace URL and key at no extra cost.

Can I export my leads from both? Yes, both export CSV. HeyReach's lead export only includes default columns, not custom variables. Lemlist exports per campaign, and multi-campaign export is no longer available.

PumpGTM finds the buyers showing intent this week and runs the outreach from your own LinkedIn account. 7 day trial, $75 a month after.
